Activation Policy
How your Coral AI licensing keys bind to your hardware ecosystem, and protocols for transferring instances.
1. The HWID Lock System
When you purchase a Lifetime License and activate it in the Coral App, we generate a unique Hardware ID (HWID). This hash serves as the fingerprint of your specific PC (Motherboard + CPU combination). Your license is then permanently cryptographically locked to this fingerprint.
If you share your license key with a friend, it will completely fail to activate on their machine because their HWID will not match the registered ledger.
2. PC Formatting & OS Upgrades
Reinstalling Windows, formatting your hard drive, or changing minor sub-components (like RAM, GPU, or HDD/SSD) will NOT break your HWID. Your license will continue to function flawlessly upon reinstalling the Coral application on the same core hardware.
3. Getting a New PC (HWID Reset)
If you build or buy an entirely new PC, your existing license key will throw a "Hardware mismatch" error. To solve this, you are granted exactly one (1) free HWID reset per 12-Month period.
- You must request the reset via our support console using the original purchasing email.
- Once reset, the key binds to the next PC it is activated on.
- The old PC instance is immediately revoked and blocked from our network.
